That which is insightful is often also inciteful.

It has been said that money is the root of all evil. But I say the root of interpersonal harm is the belief that I can thrive at your expense. The root of cooperation and compassion is the belief that our interests and fates are not separate.

If I believe the former, I will do my best to take all you have and destroy you.

If I believe the latter, I will do all I can to help you thrive, because that's what I want for myself.

This is human nature.
